Polycom acquired Accord Networks, a leading provider of next-generation, rich-media network infrastructure products in February 2001. The acquisition expanded Polycom's offerings to include multipoint control units, firewalls and gateways. In October 2001, Polycom completed its acquisition of PictureTel Corporation, adding to its product line the world's leading PC-based group video communications architecture.
