Polycom acquired Accord Networks, a leading provider of next-generation, rich-media network infrastructure products in February 2001. The acquisition expanded Polycom's offerings to include multipoint control units, firewalls and gateways. In October 2001, Polycom completed its acquisition of PictureTel Corporation, adding to its product line the world's leading PC-based group video communications architecture. The combination of strategic acquisitions and continual product innovation positions Polycom for continuing its market and technology leadership in voice, video, web and data collaboration.

Polycom has announced alliances with Cisco, Jetstream, Lucent, Microsoft, Nortel Networks and posted nine consecutive quarters of increased earnings. Results were highlighted by impressive 1999 year-to-date revenue growth of 80% over the comparable period in 1998.
